If you are someone who has eczema or psoriasis or know someone with eczema or psoriasis, you know that managing the condition can be heart-breaking, with scratching, irritation and flare ups that can affect the quality of your daily life. The most debilitating factor of this condition is itch! Itch can be a very distressing sensation which also significantly affects the length and quality of your sleep, your ability to concentrate and also your self-confidence.

If you have dry, itchy or flaky scalp, try our Suu Balm Rapid Itch Relief Scalp Spray!
If your face is dry, itchy and sensitive, give our new Suu Balm Gentle Moisturising Facial Cleanser and Cooling Itch Relief Facial Moisturiser a try!

So what do they do?

Suu Balm Rapid Itch Relief Scalp Spray is a rapid itch relieving water-based scalp spray moisturiser ideal for people with scalp conditions such as seborrheic dermatitis, bad dandruff, dry, itchy scalp, eczema or anyone whose scalp is constantly itchy. It is free from drying alcohol, steroid, paraben and fragrances, making it suitable for use on all scalp types. It is also formulated to be non-oily so you can spray it on whenever the itch strikes without leaving your hair greasy and flat!

Suu Balm Gentle Moisturising Facial Cleanser an ultra-gentle cleanser for sensitive or eczema prone facial skin. Many cleansers are alkaline, which damages the skin barrier – not Suu Balm – it has the ideal acidity to help restore the skin barrier to a healthy state. It is a rich, creamy formulation due to the Shea Butter inside, which moisturises the skin as you cleanse. It is free from soaps and potentially harmful sulfates (SLS, SLES) and parabens.

Suu Balm Cooling Itch Relief Facial Moisturiser is a unique, rapid itch relieving moisturiser specially formulated for sensitive or eczema prone facial skin. It has all the cooling itch relief of Suu Balm cream, but doesn’t sting the eyes! The combination of ceramides, northern truffle and safflower extracts repair and moisturise the skin in a natural way, leaving your skin feeling and looking great, and the skin barrier restored to its healthy state. The texture is light and non-sticky, specifically designed for our hot, humid climate.

How should I use them?

Anyone who has eczema, or who is prone to it (for example has a parent or sibling with eczema), needs to moisturise a lot… and I really mean a lot, even more than 5 times every day! Now this is really difficult to do, but Suu Balm is there to help you. The cooling itch relief encourages application every few hours so when you feel like the coolness has subsided and the itch is coming, it’s time to reapply! The scalp spray and facial moisturiser are packed as a small tube so you can place it in your bag and take it with you everywhere you go. For the scalp moisturiser, just spray once or twice at the targeted area. There is no need to wash it off! For the facial cleanser, use it daily, in the mornings and at night to cleanse. Use the facial moisturiser after cleansing or throughout the day when you feel itchy! The moisturiser can be used under your make up as well.

These new products like the original Suu Balm, have been developed at the National Skin Centre in Singapore, by one of their senior consultant dermatologists, Dr Tey Hong Liang. Dr Tey is not only a smart researcher and caring doctor with huge experience in treating adults and children with eczema, he has also recently been recognised as one of Singapore’s outstanding citizens!
