Does the menthol in Suu Balm products make my skin dry?

No, the menthol that we use is non-drying and at a suitable dosage for eczema-prone and sensitive skin. Suu Balm moisturisers also contain a high concentration of skin-identical ceramides so they help to replenish the skin barrier effectively!

Are Suu Balm products suitable for pregnant ladies?

The cream hasn't been tested specifically on pregnant women (that would be unethical!), but its ingredients are all generally recognized as safe, and many pregnant women use Suu Balm products. It is best to consult your obstetrician / gynecologist or your family physician if you have any doubts!

Is it safe to use Suu Balm products while breastfeeding?

Suu Balm products are safe for breastfeeding mothers since they contain no harmful preservatives or steroids. Do avoid using Suu Balm cream on your breasts or nipples, to prevent your baby from ingesting it. If any doubts, do check with your own trusted doctors for their advice.

What are the dos & don'ts in applying Suu Balm?

If there’s an open wound, be careful to not apply the cream directly on to the wound, instead apply the product around it. Apply Suu Balm Ceramide Moisturiser on areas that are itchy, and reapply it as often as needed whenever the itch comes back. Never apply it too close to the eyes or mouth, or on very sensitive skin. The effects of menthol may not be tolerated well in those areas!

What are ceramides?

Ceramides are naturally found in our skin and they help create a barrier (protection), so that nothing good escapes your skin and nothing bad enters. However, in eczema prone or very dry skin the ceramide level is reduced, which results in dry, irritated skin.

Why is it important to have ceramides in our moisturisers?

Although our skin is naturally made up of ceramides, in eczema prone or very dry skin the ceramide level is reduced which results in dry, irritated skin. Suu Balm moisturisers contain high contents of skin-identical ceramides to moisturise, repair and restore your skin barrier function.

I don't have dandruff, can I use Suu Balm Scalp Care range?

Yes, you can! The menthol in the Shampoo & Scalp Spray helps to cool down your scalp especially in Singapore’s hot weather, and the triple-effect moisturising agents in the shampoo will help to moisturise the scalp and condition your hair. This helps to keep your hair soft and manageable, without the usage of silicones! The anti-dandruff actives would not negatively affect scalps that are dandruff-free.

Is Suu Balm scalp care range suitable for sensitive scalp?

Yes, our Scalp Care range is hypoallergenic, free from silicones, fragrances, sulfates and parabens making it suitable for sensitive scalp!

Will Suu Balm Scalp Care range product help with hair loss?

No, the Suu Balm scalp range is formulated for individuals with sensitive, itchy, or flaky scalps. It is designed to gently restore scalp comfort and help reduce flaking.

Is Suu Balm Scalp Care Range suitable for kids?

We recommend using our Shampoo and Scalp Spray for individuals aged 12 years and above.

For younger children, we recommend performing a patch test to ensure they can tolerate the cooling effect. There are no known adverse effects from using our scalp range on younger children; however, the main concern is that they may have a lower tolerance for the cooling sensation.
